What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a branch of traditional Chinese medicine that has existed for over 3000 years.

It is a natural, preventive and curative medicine that treats each individual as a whole and as a whole. According to Chinese medicine, the symptoms and discomforts we experience are only branches of a deeper imbalance within the individual.
As an acupuncturist, I will look for the initial cause(s) of your imbalances and will help you with several tools to rebalance yourself and regain your state of health.

What to expect during your visit to the acupuncturist?

During your first meeting, it is important to bring loose and flexible clothing with you for your comfort during your treatment.
First, the acupuncturist will have you fill out a questionnaire on your state of health. Afterwards, I will do an assessment by gathering essential information about your various systems by looking at your strengths and weaknesses.
This is followed by an acupuncture treatment by imposing thin single-use sterile needles on specific points on the body. The treatment can include several aspects such as cupping, compresses
heat or other techniques.

How long is the treatment?

You must allocate 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes for your first consultation and we ask that you come 10 to 15 minutes in advance to complete the health questionnaire.
The follow-ups have a duration of 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your energy state and the reason for consultation.
Lastly, you will be familiarized with what you may feel after the treatment. People usually experience a relaxing effect following the treatment.

Are the treatments painful?

Acupuncture needles are thin, solid and disposable. This means that we are not injecting anything into the body. You will feel a mosquito bite during insertion and this will only last for a fraction of a second.

During the treatment, the patient will experience a sensation of well-being and a state of deep relaxation.
